Need To Organize Your Critical Information?
Dec 11, 2024Life is messy. It only takes a few years of adulthood before we start drowning in paper and clutter. Bills, taxes, reports, financial statements, etc.
It is natural for critical information, important documents, and valuable records to get lost in the piles. It’s rarely intentional to become a paper hoarder, but most of us don’t have a comprehensive system for collecting, organizing, protecting, and evaluating our essential information.
We’ve developed the Personal Information Protection Plan, along with many other important checklists, templates and spreadsheets. The key is to gradually (or speedily) gather your personal information and enter it into a secure password-protected digital document.
You can store this file offsite on a simple flash drive in case your home is destroyed by a fire, flood, hurricane or tornado. This information is NOT stored online or in the Cloud but on your own USB drive or computer. This will also drastically limit the ability of hackers to access and steal your important data.
There are 3 options depending on the complexity of your financial situation and the urgency you require. The simplest and quickest option is the Crisis Cheat Sheet which normally takes less than an hour to enter and protect your basic information into an editable document. Then, there are 2 versions of the Personal Information Protection Plan (PIPP): the Essentials and the Deluxe.
